Agostino became ill with leprosy in his youth and was almost blinded as a result. He is now cured and even has a job! Every morning before work he tends his vegetables, which he then takes to the market and sells to the local community. The leprosy has damaged the sensory nerves in his hands, but it has not deprived him of the sense and dexterity needed to care for his plants. He regularly visits a local parish and is motivated to help other leprosy sufferers in the area.
Its history is a good example of how the Lepramism how former patients, with your help and encouragement, can become helpers for their peers and communities!
A Lepramism not only heals the sick, but wants to put their whole environment back in order!
