On the last day of the summer holidays, before our children go back to school for a long time, we organised a charity run to help children with leprosy. The event, held on the gymnastics track in the Mudflats Park Forest, was attended by enterprising runners of all ages. The cause could be supported by paying a registration fee on the spot. During the registration, children were engaged in a puzzle game to use their knowledge of leprosy in the hope of a little reward chocolate... Then, after motivation and encouragement, the field was off! The 1600 m distance was open to all, using any technique. There were those who ran with power. Others walked on foot. The smallest runners rolled to the finish line in a pram, where sandwiches, mineral water and a nice gold medal awaited everyone. And after a cheerful chat and a snack, the participants received two scoops of ice cream donated by Santa Claus Confectionery.
