"Princess Diana legacy" is the title of a growing number of posts featuring pictures of the beautiful princess, recalling the most glamorous moments of her short life. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the tragic young death of Princess Diana of Wales, the "Queen of Hearts".

We in the world of the International Leprosy Mission continue to cherish his memory with the greatest respect and blessing. It is perhaps little known that among the Princess's endlessly generous charities was the Lepramism Society of England and Wales, of which she was Patron until her death! But it was not only through her financial means, but also through her personal example, that she contributed immensely to our ministry to the destitute of the 'fourth world', visiting our leprosy hospitals at Premananda in Calcutta and Ananda in Nepal. With his sincere kindness, he sat on the beds of the patients, held their hands, and with this example he became one of the greatest pioneers of the cause of the lepers in the world press, especially in countries where lepers are still ostracised on the basis of millennia-old prejudices and misconceptions!

The greatness of Princess Diana's person shone most brightly in her very deep love.

Bless his memory!
